The Spirit Manifests His Spirit in Us

1 Cor. 12:7 (Msg)
Each person is given something to do that shows who God is: Everyone gets in on it, everyone benefits. All kinds of things are handed out by the Spirit, and to all kinds of people!

The same unction, the same zeal, the same Holy Ghost power is at our command as it was at the command of Stephen and the apostles.
Smith Wigglesworth

Holy Spirit, empower me to go beyond the ordinary to the extraordinary through Your power and unction. Amen.

Healed By His Word

Psalm 107:20 (The Message)
He spoke the word that healed you,
that pulled you back from the brink of death.

You can be healed if you will hear the Word.
Smith Wigglesworth

Almighty God, help me set aside my own thoughts and feelings for Your truth. By Your Word, not my feelings, I am healed. Hallelujah! Amen.

The Gift and Gifts of Healing

1 Cor. 12:7-9 (Message)
Each person is given something to do that shows who God is: Everyone gets in on it, everyone benefits. All kinds of things are handed out by the Spirit, and to all kinds of people! The variety is wonderful:
wise counsel
clear understanding
simple trust
healing the sick

I believe the power of the Holy Ghost which you have received has power that will bring you to a place where you dare believe for God to heal, apart from knowing that you have the gift of healing.
Smith Wigglesworth

Holy Spirit, use Your gift of healing in me. Amen.

Far Better to Go

1 Cor. 9:15 (Message)
Still, I want it made clear that I've never gotten anything out of this for myself, and that I'm not writing now to get something. I'd rather die than give anyone ammunition to discredit me or impugn my motives.

Philip. 1:21 (Message)
Alive, I'm Christ's messenger; dead, I'm his bounty. Life versus even more life! I can't lose.

We would not be full of disease, but we would be full of life. Lord grant us a living faith to believe.
Smith Wigglesworth

Jesus, going on with You is better than life itself. I desire to be filled with Your life now and forever. Amen.

ISAIAH 53

Isaiah 53: 1 – 6. (Tanakh Translation)

“Who can believe what we have heard?
Upon whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
For he has grown, by His favour, like a tree crown,
Like a tree trunk out of arid ground.
He had no form or beauty, that we should look at him:
No charm, that we should find him pleasing.
He was despised, shunned by men,
A man of suffering, familiar with disease.
As one who hid his face from us,
He was despised, we held him of no account.
Yet it was our sickness that he was bearing,
Our suffering that he endured.
We accounted him plagued,
Smitten and afflicted by God;
But he was wounded because of our sins,
Crushed because of our iniquities.
He bore the chastisement that made us whole,
And by his bruises we were healed.
We all went astray like sheep,
Each going his own way;
And the Lord visited upon him
The guilt of all of us.”

When I meditate on this passage, my spirit aches with the realization of what Jesus the Messiah bore for me. How can we deny the sacrificial ministry of our Lord, by still holding in our lives those things that he bore, to free us?

Man's Way

Reading the news of each day, I am continually amazed at the destruction, of people’s lives. It isn’t a new thing happening in our country or around the world. The Scriptures give plenty of good advise for us humans, however, we are free to exercise our own will.

For many who are thrust into public positions, which have a high profile, their lives are all too evident of wrong decision-making. It could be in the areas of leadership, finances, relationships, emotional outbursts, substance use or any other aspect of the life they live.

O man, how reliable are your thoughts?

Proverbs 16:25 (Tanakh Translation)
A road may seem right to a man, but in the end it is a road to death.

THE PROFIT OF THE WORD OF GOD

Hebrews 4:2 (Message)
We received the same promises as those people in the wilderness, but the promises didn't do them a bit of good because they didn't receive the promises with faith.

It is impossible to know the Word of God without knowing that He will meet you.
Smith Wigglesworth

Oh, Word of God, quicken me, stimulate me, heal me, save me in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

THE WRITTEN WORD IS SUPERNATURAL

2 Tim. 3:16 (Message)
Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God's way.

Read it through. Pray it in. Write it down.
Smith Wigglesworth

Thank you, Father, for the written Word that reveals Your plan of salvation in Christ Jesus. Amen.

HEALING

Exodus 15:26 (Tanakh Translation)
He (God) said, "If you will heed the Lord your God diligently, doing what is upright in His sight, giving ear to His commandments and keeping all His laws, then I will not bring upon you any of the diseases that I brought on the Egyptians, for I the Lord am Your healer."

Towards the end of November, I had a change to one of my eyes. Today, I saw an eye specialist who gave me the all clear. I will see the original eye doctor in 3 months to see if there are any changes. I currently have the same vision I had previous to the hemorrhage.

Thankyou for your Prayer.

God's love is amazing!!!!

VICTORY IN THE WORD

1 Cor. 15:55-57 (Message)
Who got the last word, oh, Death?
Oh, Death, who's afraid of you now?

It was sin that made death so frightening and law-code guilt that gave sin its leverage, its destructive power. But now in a single victorious stroke of Life, all three—sin, guilt, death—are gone, the gift of our Master, Jesus Christ. Thank God!

We can never exhaust the Word.
Smith Wigglesworth

Jesus, You are the Word of God who gives us the victory over sin and death. Amen.

1 Peter 1:23 (Message)
Your new life is not like your old life. Your old birth came from mortal sperm; your new birth comes from God's living Word. Just think: a life conceived by God himself!

If you are born of God, you are born of the power of the Word and not of man.
Smith Wigglesworth

Thank you, Lord, that I have the privilege to be born of Your incorruptible seed, Your Word. Amen.

PRAYING IN HARMONY

Acts 4:31-32 (Message)
While they were praying, the place where they were meeting trembled and shook. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak God's Word with fearless confidence.
The whole congregation of believers was united as one—one heart, one mind! They didn't even claim ownership of their own possessions. No one said, "That's mine; you can't have it." They shared everything.

How the master can move among the needs and perishing when He has the right of way in the Church!
Smith Wigglesworth

Lord, teach us to pray together in such unity and in one accord that by faith we might see you do great and mighty things in the church. Amen.

THE FOUNDATION: GOD'S WORD (2)

Luke 6:47-48 (Message)
These words I speak to you are not mere additions to your life, homeowner improvements to your standard of living. They are foundation words, words to build a life on.
"If you work the words into your life, you are like a smart carpenter who dug deep and laid the foundation of his house on bedrock. When the river burst its banks and crashed against the house, nothing could shake it; it was built to last.

We must have something better than sand, and everything is sand except the Word. There isn’t anything that will remain.
Smith Wigglesworth

Jesus, Your Word is the foundation for all things. Amen.

THE FOUNDATION: GOD'S WORD

Matthew 7:24-25 (Message)
"These words I speak to you are not incidental additions to your life, homeowner improvements to your standard of living. They are foundational words, words to build a life on. If you work these words into your life, you are like a smart carpenter who built his house on solid rock. Rain poured down, the river flooded, a tornado hit—but nothing moved that house. It was fixed to the rock
.

There is not establishment outside of God’s Word for you. Everything else is sand. Everything else shall fall.
Smith Wigglesworth

Upon the solid rock of Your Word, I build my life. Jesus, You are my Rock; You are my foundation. Amen

PRAYER AND FAITH

Mark 11:24 (Message)
That's why I urge you to pray for absolutely everything, ranging from small to large. Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you'll get God's everything.

You cannot find anywhere that God ever failed.
Smith Wigglesworth

As I pray, Lord, fill me with faith, that believing Your Word, I might ask and receive. Amen.

THE LIVING WORD IN YOU

John 1:1-4 (Message)
The Word was first,
the Word present to God,
God present to the Word.
The Word was God,
in readiness for God from day one.
Everything was created through him;
nothing—not one thing!—
came into being without him.
What came into existence was Life,
and the Life was Light to live by.

God in you is a living substance, a spiritual nature, the living Word. You live by another life, the faith of the Son of God.
Smith Wigglesworth

Word of God, birth in me the life of Jesus Christ that He might live fully in me. Amen.

THE WORD IN YOU

Galatians 2:20 (Message)
Christ's life showed me how, and enabled me to do it. I identified myself completely with him. Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. The life you see me living is not "mine," but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Beloved, God would have us to see that no man is perfected or equipped on any lines except as the living Word abides in him.
Smith Wigglesworth

Word of God, indwell me so richly that others might see You in me. Amen.

Believing, Obeying and Prospering in the WORD

Joshua 1:8 (Message)
And don't for a minute let this Book of The Revelation be out of mind. Ponder and meditate on it day and night, making sure you practice everything written in it. Then you'll get where you're going; then you'll succeed.

As you come into this blessed state of reverence for the Word of God, it will build you up also and make you strong.
Smith Wigglesworth

Jesus, I believe Your Word, not mine or the devil’s. I am cleansed from all my sin by Your blood. Amen.

TAKE THE WORD OF GOD

Psalm 18:30 (Message)
What a God! His road
stretches straight and smooth.
Every God-direction is road-tested.
Everyone who runs toward him
Makes it.

Take the Word of God. It will furnish you in every good stand.
Smith Wigglesworth

Lord, Your Word will stand no matter what man says. Your Word satisfies my every need. It is sustenance for my spirit; it guides my feet aright and inspires my mind to Goliness. Amen.

SANCTIFIED BY THE WORD

John 17:17 (Message)
Make them holy—consecrated—with the truth;
Your word is consecrating truth.

The Word of God is to be swallowed, to be obeyed, not to be prayed over.
Smith Wigglesworth

Holy Spirit, sanctify me by Your truth and Word, that I might obey Your Word without reservation. Amen.

THE WORD IMPARTS LIFE

John 6:63 (Message)
The Spirit can make life. Sheer muscle and willpower don't make anything happen. Every word I've spoken to you is a Spirit-word, and so it is life-making.

So, we need the Spirit to bring life into the believer, imparting life through the Word.
Smith Wigglesworth

Word of God, press in on my heart that the Spirit might press it out of me in Jesus’ name. May I not simply quote Scripture to those I meet everyday, but may I rather impart the life of Christ to those who need Him. Amen.

LOVING GOD'S WORD

Psalm 119:103 (Message)
Your words are so choice, so tasty;
I prefer them to the best home cooking.

You are not any good for anything apart from the Word.
Smith Wigglesworth

I love Your Word, Oh God. It is sweet to my taste and life to my being Your Word I cherish with my whole heart. Amen.

GOD'S WORD REVEALED

Deut. 30:14,16 (Message)
No. The word is right here and now—as near as the tongue in your mouth, as near as the heart in your chest. Just do it! . . . . . . .
And I command you today: Love God, your God. Walk in his ways. Keep his commandments, regulations, and rules so that you will live, really live, live exuberantly, blessed by God, your God, in the land you are about to enter and possess.

It is only the truth of God’s Word revealed to our hearts that can make us so much greater than any idea of ourselves that we had.
Smith Wigglesworth

Lord, reveal Your Word in my heart that I might know Your mighty power in my life. Amen.

THE WORD NOT FEELINGS

1 Thes. 2:13 (Message)
And now we look back on all this and thank God, an artesian well of thanks! When you got the Message of God we preached, you didn't pass it off as just one more human opinion, but you took it to heart as God's true word to you, which it is, God himself at work in you believers!

What an awful disgrace it is for you to change the Word of God because of your feelings.
Smith Wigglesworth

Word of God, take priority over my feelings that I must trust only Your truth. Amen.

SHOPPING

When you do your weekly shopping in a supermarket, which isles do you favour?

The healthiest isles are usually around the outer extremes of the supermarket. These contain, Fruit, Vegetables, Breads, Meats, and Diary Products.
The central shelving contains most of the highly processed foods, which contain many additional additives, which are a minefield for the human body. The best part about the many of the products on these shelves is the Highly Visible Packaging.

Let’s shop wisely!!!!

Daniel 1:8 (Message) But Daniel determined that he would not defile himself by eating the king's food or drinking his wine, so he asked the head of the palace staff to exempt him from the royal diet.

PRAY AS THE SPIRIT PRAYS

Romans 8:26 (Message)
Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God's Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans.

We have entered in with God into the mind of the Spirit, we will find that God ravishes our hearts.
Smith Wigglesworth

Holy Spirit, ravish my heart. Set aside all detractions from You. Pray through me that my heart’s cry might be heard in the presence of God. Amen.

THE WORD AND THE KINGDOM

Col. 3:16 (Message)
Let the Word of Christ—the Message—have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God!

The kingdom of heaven is within us, within every believer. The kingdom of heaven is the Christ, is the Word of God.
Smith Wigglesworth

Word of God, stir up richly within me that the kingdom of heaven might be manifested. Amen.

Please feel free to comment with a caption!

PRAYING IN PRISON

2 Cor. 6:3-5 (Message)
Don't put it off; don't frustrate God's work by showing up late, throwing a question mark over everything we're doing. Our work as God's servants gets validated—or not—in the details. People are watching us as we stay at our post, alertly, unswervingly . . . in hard times, tough times, bad times; when we're beaten up, jailed, and mobbed; working hard, working late, working without eating;

In response to being released from prison in Switzerland, in the middle of the night,
I said, “No, I will only go on one condition. That is that every officer there is in this place gets down on his knees and I pray with all of you.”
Smith Wigglesworth

Lord, in the midst of my prisons, give me the wisdom to pray and not to moan and groan. Amen.

BELIEVE THE WORD

Rev. 12:11 (Message)
They defeated him [the devil] through the blood of the Lamb and the bold word of their witness.
They weren't in love with themselves; they were willing to die for Christ.

It is one thing to read the Word of God. It is another thing to believe it.
Smith Wigglesworth

Word of God, richly indwell me that I might have an overcoming faith to subdue all worldly things. Amen.

I have registered on Facebook.
The beginning of something else which is NEW for me.

FOUNDATIONS

Psalm 119:11 (Message)
I've banked your promises in the vault of my heart so I won't sin myself bankrupt.

Psalm 119:105
By your words I can see where I'm going; they throw a beam of light on my dark path.

The Word not only gives you foundations, but it puts you in a place where you can stand, and after the battle keep on standing.
Nothing else will do that.
Smith Wigglesworth

Lord, I will meditate on Your WordPrepare my heart that I might hide Your Word therein and be so strengthened that I may have no desire of sin in me. Amen.

PRAYER PLACE

Genesis 28:16-17, 19 (Message)
Jacob woke up from his sleep. He said, "God is in this place—truly. And I didn't even know it!" He was terrified. He whispered in awe, "Incredible. Wonderful. Holy. This is God's House. This is the Gate of Heaven."
He christened the place Bethel (God's House). The name of the town had been Luz until then.

Just like Jacob in prayer, we begin at the bottom and go to the top.
Smith Wigglesworth

Father, I come to Bethel, Your house of prayer, to start on earth and to climb into the heavenlies for I long to be with You. Amen.

IMAGE 2008

I thought I would see if I looked younger this Year? Perhaps NOT!!
I saw a photo of a sessional mate, and was amazed at the transition of the Years!
I think that I'm pretty good for an old man. It's just a shame that I'm only 50+++!!!

PUBLISHED WORD

2 Cor. 3:3 (Message)
Christ himself wrote it—not with ink, but with God's living Spirit; not chiselled into stone, but carved into human lives—and we publish it.

The Word has quickened you all through and you are not in any way subject to anything around you. You are above everything. You reign with Christ above everthing.
Smith Wigglesworth

Christ, make of my life Your epistle to the world. Write Your salvation, Your holiness, Your redemption, Your good news on my heart that others may read in me only of You. Amen.

SEEDY START

I saw a young man this morning, and asked, how he was going? His response was, better today, I was a little seedy yesterday. What a good way to start a New Year, feeling crook! Well I guess the year might improve for him.

Proverbs 23:19-21 (Message)
Oh listen, dear child—become wise;
point your life in the right direction.
Don't drink too much wine and get drunk;
don't eat too much food and get fat.
Drunks and gluttons will end up on skid row,
in a stupor and dressed in rags.

HEART CHANGE

Luke 18:11-14 (Message)
The Pharisee posed and prayed like this: 'Oh, God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, crooks, adulterers, or, heaven forbid, like this tax man. I fast twice a week and tithe on all my income.'
"Meanwhile the tax man, slumped in the shadows, his face in his hands, not daring to look up, said, 'God, give mercy. Forgive me, a sinner.' "
Jesus commented, "This tax man, not the other, went home made right with God. If you walk around with your nose in the air, you're going to end up flat on your face, but if you're content to be simply yourself, you will become more than yourself."

Prayer changes hearts but it never changes God.
Smith Wigglesworth

Heavenly Father, change me as I pray. Amen.

NEW YEAR

I think I started the New Year, with our brothers and sisters in Moscow.

THE SHARP WORD

Hebrews 4:12 (Message)
God means what he says. What he says goes. His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon's scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defence, laying us open to listen and obey.

We have come into divine resurrection touches in Christ.
Smith Wigglesworth

Word of God, pierce my heart and touch my whole being with Your resurrection power. Amen.
