Last Game

Loading the car for the last game of Cricket with the Morwell Cricket Club.
The day did not go as well as expected. We won the toss and elected to bat. I opened as usual and was the first wicket to fall in about the 8th over. A ball jagged back from outside the off, and I hit it with the inside edge of the bat and was caught behind way down the leg side. The rest of our inning did not fare well, and we were all out for 61.
With only 61 to defend, the first over put us under further pressure with 9 runs being scored. We rallied with some good bowling and fielding and had them 6 for 60. They quickly passed or total, and we had an early day finishing at 4pm

Prison Carols

Yesterday the Morwell Corps supported the distribution of gifts at Fulham Prison, with a quartet of Brass Instruments playing Carols. The inmates were extremely pleased, and appreciated the interlude into their ordered lives, changing a cattle-procession to receive their gifts into a small concert or worship time, depending on their individual persuasion.

Luke 2:14 (NIV)
"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favour rests."
