THE BATTLE

We have been in this community since January. Evidence of the spiritual climate of this community is found in the events that happen on a day-to-day basis. To date a leader of a youth church has died suddenly at the age of 42. Another pastor will conclude his ministry at the end of the year, as he has been suffering from burnout.

The suffering of ministers from all denominations has a very long history. From burnout, to depression, to ill health, the list of opposition points that touch the lives of those who are called to proclaim the gospel is laid out for all to observe.

We are looking forward to this trend being reversed during our time in this community. This is not the first time that we have been involved in such battles. We come into this community with our eyes open. With the wonderful name of our Lord, being our sole authority, we are willing to go into battle.

The future spiritual climate of our community is at stake.

Acts 3:6
Peter said, "I don't have a nickel to my name, but what I do have, I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk!" (Message)

I'm praying for you in that area of great spiritual 'opposition'. When I was down there on the weekend I picked up heaps of 'uncleanliness' in your area and even had broken sleep due to this on Friday night.

May God protect you and give you strengthened armor of Salvation in your positions!
