Surprise

On arriving at the office this morning, there was a surprise pushed under the door. It was an envelope that contained a letter, to the Majors. “….. you and The Salvation Army are not my mentors but you both took an interest in me. Satan has tried twice in the last month to get me to suicide but I’m not in to that, I’d sooner bow both knees to God …..”

What a privilege we have as God’s children in this world!

Jude 1:20-23 (Msg)
But you, dear friends, carefully build yourselves up in this most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit, staying right at the center of God's love, keeping your arms open and outstretched, ready for the mercy of our Master, Jesus Christ. This is the unending life, the real life!
Go easy on those who hesitate in the faith. Go after those who take the wrong way. Be tender with sinners, but not soft on sin. The sin itself stinks to high heaven.

This week I took a man (homeless) to a cafe for a hot meal and then we went to the supermarket to buy some things he needed. All well and good. Except that the police were watching us worried about my safety!!!

These words permeate through all that is great about our faith.
