The last fortnight has been quite a difficult time for me. The destructive forces of our adversary have been working overtime. For me it has been a time to reflect and see if I am willing to stand and be the Lord’s messenger through the battle.
In Hebrew terms, the current reflections are on counting the Omer, and reflecting on the Torah. It is also in this historical period following Passover that the Nation of Israel has had significant destructive forces in open hostility against them.
The Omer is representative of the supply of grown food and God’s promises, and leads to the celebration of the Torah God’s gift.
I am reminded of God’s gifts;
The first fruits ~ Jesus.
The Holy Spirit.
Yes Lord, I will stand.
Acts 1:4-5 (NIV)
On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit."
