When God came to Cornwall in 1814, the people spoke of the ‘penitential pain’ when men and women were in great distress over their sin. At Tuckingham a meeting lasted from Sunday until Friday, with people coming and going all the time. During this ‘meeting’ this ‘penitential pain’ was extreme in some cases: Hundreds were crying for mercy at once. Some remained in great distress of the soul for one hour, some for two, some six, some nine, twelve and some for fifteen hours before the Lord spoke peace into their souls – then they would rise, extend their arms, and proclaim the wonderful works of God… (Revival a people saturated with God ~ Brian H. When I read accounts of revival, such as in Cornwall, I only have one thing to say. Lord, Lord, Lord do it again, here, in this city!!!!
Among many youth today, there is a wonderful yearning for a practical pentecostal holiness as the foundation of their spirituality, which overflows into their missional activities to touch a world that simply needs JESUS.
Psalm 85:12-13 (Message)
Oh yes! God gives Goodness and Beauty; our land responds with Bounty and Blessing. Right Living strides out before him, and clears a path for his passage.
Psalm 85:12-13 (KJV)
Yea, the Lord shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase. Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.
